eBay Spoof Messages

Just the word spoof sends a tingle down any eBayers spine. In this guide I am going to give you the many ways to get rid of spoof messages and keep your acoount safe!!!

First off I am going to start off with my story on the dreaded "SPOOF" messages. One day while checking the inbox of my messages I noticed a message saying eBay needed a credit card update. Knowing that the credit card info was changed a few days before I thought It was true. I clicked on the link and it lead to a page that looked just like the eBay sign in page. So I signed in and gave my credit card info. Well you probley guessed what happened then. A coupol days late I recieved a message from eBay saying they had to freeze my account for a while becuase it had been confonscated. This was real. Then I had to spend another hour or two clearing my account and more. Now I get Spoof messages aleast 1 time a week. It slows down after a while but it is not worth the time deleting them!!!

Here are some tips to avoid this. One is when you click on the link the page will look the same as eBays page. They can make it look the same but check the web adress to make sure it is an eBay site. Another is check your eBay messages in the My eBay page and see if it is there. If it does not appear then it is spoof. Another is log into your account, if the message said that your account has been compramised then you won't be able to sign in. If you recieve a suspicious email then forward it to spoof @ ebay.com ( sorry but the guide will not let me do the email together ) so they can stop the spoof.
