Do you sell books on eBay?
Would you like to increase your Sales?
Would you like to increase your Profits?
There is a very simple way to accomplish this. If you are not offering Worldwide Shipping -- you should be. Most books will fit into a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope. Shipping Worldwide is a flat rate. It's less expensive to ship to Canada than the rest of the world but even to the rest of the world it is less than $12.00.
The USPS will provide the shipping envelope FREE. You can order the Priroity Mail Envelopes from the USPS and they will deliver them to your house or place of business....FREE!
Think about this for a minute. You will have no packing cost - the flat rate envelopes are FREE. Because the envelope is actually cardboard you don't need bubble wrap or any other packing material (I do wrap the books in ink free paper but the cost is negligible). You can charge a little more for shipping worldwide but the shipping is not subject to eBay fees. You have just eliminated your packing costs - no bubble wrap, no padded envelope, no book box...just use the USPS supplied Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope.
You may be asking how does this increase my sales? Good question! Here is the answer...
You have increased you potential market by a factor of X. I don't really know how many registered users are outside the U.S. but I do know there are a lot of them. I have shipped books to Canada, Japan, Germany, Australia and a number of other countries.
There you have it...one simple change in your listings and your potential increase in sales is enormous. Oh yeah, assuming you are making a profit off each sale, then each sale you make to an international buyer is a sale you might not have made before...result...increased Sales...increased Profits.
I hope you found this guide helpful. If so, you might consider giving it a favorable rating.
