My experince as a new buyer is one FULL of lessons, both  good and bad.  As a buyer, ebay knocks you senseless with choices!  I've learned that if buying media, always check with the seller about using the one great deal the US Post Office still offers-media rates, and they are awesome.   They can be less than half the cost of other rates.  Always check with your seller to see if she (or he) will be willing to ship this way.  It makes no sense to get a wonderful buy from your seller, and then be paying top dollar for shipping!
