the don't bid scam with an added touch
this scam is progressing a bit , iwas very close to becoming a victim, everything in the previous don't bid scam is to the "T" w/ some added false security statements now they want you to
1st- give them your full name & shipping address
2nd -they start a transaction on e-bay vehicle purchase protection
3rd-e-bay will send you payment instructions
4th- you will send money into an e-bay trust account
5th- e-bay will confirm to seller recieved funds
6th- they will ship car
7th- you will recieve car & e-bay will inspect vehicle upon arival
8th-buyer will contact e-bay to release funds to seller.
9th- then they offer a 30 day gaurantee to be returned at sellers expense
the seller also claims to be affiliated w/e-bay motors & carries a large purchase protection plan, my scammer said to have $ 20,000.00
this all started exactly how it is described in the "don't bid scam" by waliquidation. 1st of all e-bay does not have a trust account 2ndly e-bay does not have a staff to inspect vehicles they do not act as a go between. however there are services out there that do help in those areas like escro .com. but they are definately not this type of deal.
as stated before if sounds to good to be true it probably is, eg; a 1967 gt fastback mint condition car w matching #'s for $9,500.00 what was i thinking? if you come across a deal like this ask your self the same question, what am i thinking?
stick to e-bay guidelines do as much research as you can to protect your self from fraudulant adds, there are deals out there, if there honest & for real they should have no problem advertising through a reputable source. good luck.
