BEWARE of DNEPRWORLD. The guy's name is Yuri. He is very deceptive. He won't do paypal and gives a discount to buy off eBay. None of his product is really NEW. It is old shelf stock, returned items and put together units. He claims only HE knows EVERYTHING and no one else knows anything. I had 2 ASE Certified Master Technicians inspect his "new" motorcycle that I bought. It had a broken head stud and less than 30 pounds of compression, it would not run. Upon shipping it back to dneprworld Yuri he claimed it started right away. IMPOSSIBLE A TOTAL LIE!

I have since found many VERY unhappy customers of dneprworld Yuri. Go to yahoo and google groups and you will find several groups who have members who have been deceived by Yuri. Now Yuri wants me to pay $150- to ship a different engine back to me! NO WARRANTY HE CLAIMS! How come he won't send the old engine back then??? Because I marked it and have witnesses as to his actions, or lack of.

Yuri wants  $169 plus shipping! I can get the whole unit with cable from Germany $75- including shipping. Yuri dneprworld tires also did not pass the inspection!!! Yuri wants $90 each tire plus shipping!! The guy in Germany quoted me $32 to $48 each tire including shipping!!! And I can pick from 4 tires. Yuri dneprworld claims only his Russian tires will ride properly and ALL others are rejects.

YURI UPDATE: Now he says the engine is my engine and he will gladly pay me $500- for it! What kind of guarantee is this?
He sells engines for up to $1800- and all I am asking is to discount it to the "package price cost" about $1500, then charge me the 30% restocking and sent be $1000- TOTALLY REASONABLE. I don't want another dneprworld engine. .

ADDITIONAL  YURI UPDATE AS OF 2-24-2008: I have just assisted yet another one of Yuri's unhappy deceived customers get another REFUND!!! At first Yuri tried to tell my new friend that the 30% restocking fee was actually the REFUND he would give back! In other words Yuri the jerk was offering about $1000- for the return of a $3800- pair of boxes of mis matched junk that Yuri calls a motorcycle! And of course the does not include the $500- shipping! WELL... my new friend convinced Yuri he was going to make a personal appearance to return the junk and Yuri folded sending back actually 73% of the total!

EVEN MORE Yuri NEWS! as of 3-20-2008: I have just been told by a good source that Yuri is under investigation by the Ohio DA's Office! This poor guy was lucky Yuri only got him for $400- before the reasons, delays and mixed up stories jinxed the deal. This guy was a lot smarter than ME! As I said Yuri cost me over $3000- plus well over 100 hours of my time.

Here is his story:
Please do put my message with your warning, below is a clarification and more detail of my Yuri dealings that you can place with it if your like.

 My deposit was 200 brand new 2003 consecutively numbered $2 bills and he had no knowledge of it, I guess so many people pay with new $2 bill that it's hard to keep track.  I was dealing with a guy named Roman.  Over the phone I asked if they would take gold coins as payment based on the London gold spot price for gold on the day of my purchase, on the phone they agreed.  I live about an hour away so I got my coins from my banks security box and I showed up at his shop with enough gold to buy the Dnepr and $400 in the $2 bills to cover any incidentals.  Yuri changed the deal at the last second and wanted a gold broker buyer’s fee of 10% less than the spot price for me, I told him I'd sell the coins elsewhere and pay him cash but made the mistake of leaving the deposit.  If Yuri would have taken my coins, today their value has doubled from their 2006 price, instead of $5,000 and change he'd have better than $10,000 for one of his junk piles.  He imports worn out Russian military bikes and puts some paint on them and sells them as new.  Some of his parts are new like windshields but his tires are not to USA specifications.  Yuri changed our deal on a Friday, on the way home I stopped to get forms for an Ohio vehicle inspection, when I called for an appointment to get my future Dnepr inspected the Highway Patrol woman on the phone suggested I get my money back because in her experience no vehicle sold by Yuri had ever passed an inspection to get a title.  I checked with the attorney General in Ohio on Monday and they sent me a dozen complaints against Yuri for selling worn out machines and not being able to get them titled.  At this point I told Yuri I wouldn't buy an untitled bike but if he got it titled I'd be willing to pay using eBay's escrow to make sure I didn't get a junk pile. He did not want anything to do with any of the things that are in place to protect buyers on eBay.   My visit to his shop showed me that he did have some machines that may have had less wear than others; my guess would be that a person has a one in a hundred chance of getting a fair machine from Yuri.  I never followed through with a Dnepr buy from Yuri and feel luck to have only lost $400 but gold went up so much in a year and a half that by  keeping the coins I was going to give him it's made up the $400 several times over, Yuri's greed saved me a lot.  I asked about my deposit and was told he didn't recall any thing like that and that Roman didn't work there any more.  I would have taken my $400 in parts that would fit a 2004 Ural Tourist that I bought on eBay, I figured a new windshield and seat would have gave me something for my money but Yuri's greed is unmatched by anybody I've ever dealt with in my 40 years of motorcycling.  I would highly recommend anyone interested in buying one of these Russian machines look on eBay for used Ural's, there are some good deals, I got mine in July 2006 for $6,900 and it was still under factory warranty, they are different and require new riding and maintenance skills to be learned, buy a Ural and get to riding in the time you'd have to spend going back and forth with Yuri and wind up getting nothing but headaches and ulcers.  I don't know why eBay lets him continue to sell, it's not hard to see through the periodic name changes, it might be that the windshields, seats and wheel covers he sells gives him enough positive feedback to stay in business, I will pay more to buy from anyone else rather than give Yuri another penny of my money, $400 for nothing was my limit.
