I've been a fan of Coach products for over 20 years now. My first coach purse was a Christmas gift in 1985. I was a college student and an admirer of Coach purses. I was so happy with the quality and style of that first purse. I bought the lotion and moisturizer to care for it. I knew it wasn't cheap and I appreciated my parents investment.
Now, I sell classic Coach purses in my Ebay store (thebeachshopandCoachemorium). It's a labor of love for me and somewhat of a mission. Some of the purses that I acquire need significant TLC. I also acquire a few that are flawless. If you provide the proper care for your Coach product, it will last for years.
Here are what I call the commandments of Coach care:
*THOU SHALT NOT PUT THY PURSE ON THE FLOORETH.
We walk on the floor. There are cooties on the floor. Most Coach purses do not have protective feet on the bottom: therefore; it's not meant to be put on the floor.
*THOU SHALT USE LEATHER LOTION AND CLEANER FOR THY PURSE
Just imagine if you never put any lotion, vaseline, or moisturizer on your skin. It would be dried and cracked, like some purses that do not receive proper maintenance. Clean and moisturize your purse weekly. Suede products need to be brushed regularly. Use a dustbag for your purse if you have one.
*THY PURSE IS NOT A BEAST OF BURDEN.
Take some of that junk out. It's bad for your posture, shoulders, and back to carry an overlodaded purse. Putting too many items in your purse causes additional wear on the handles and the zipper.
*THOU SHALT NOT PUTTETH A CHEAP PEN IN THY PURSE.
It's a shame to put a 25 cent pen in a $200 purse. Cheap pens open up and cause ink stains that cause permanent damage. Do yourself a favor. Invest a little bit of money in a quality ink pen. Good pens come with a cover.
*THOU SHALT ENJOY THY PURSE.
