In this guide you will learn how to install a
dash panel on an ezgo e-z-go ez-go golf car. Guide applies to all of the dash
panels we sell for ezgo Marathon model. These models include years 1986 to
early 1994.
This guide applies to the following
panels.
Dashes come in four
colors:
- textured ABS black
- burled woodgrain
- carbon fiber color
- turned titanium.
These dash panels replace the
existing drink holders built into the golf car. Original drink holders must be
removed from the car to install the dash. Steering wheel does not need to be
removed. Principally there are two different styles of ezgo Marathon golf
cars. Years 1986 to 1988 and years 1989 to early 1994.
A few tools are required for
installation:
- cordless driver or drill bit
- 1/4" drill bit
- 1/8" drill bit
- Phillips head driver bit
Years 1986 to
1988 refer to this picture. Pictured is a 1987 ezgo Marathon golf

Years 1989 to early 1994 refer to this picture. Pictured is a 1992 ezgo Marathon golf car.

These years have a two drink
holder secured with four rivets. Two rivets on each side of the drink holder.
Tan finger points to rivet location on right side. Use a 1/4" drill bit to
drill out the rivets. Drink holder drops down and out. Place dash panel in
position over two glove boxes. Use 1/8" drill bit to put four holes in dash
panel. Two holes on each end of the dash panel. Secure with screws provided.
Screws are in a bag with the keys taped to the inside of the dash
panel.
Years 1989 to early 1994 refer to this picture. Pictured is a 1992 ezgo Marathon golf car.
These years have a four drink
holder secured with two Phillips head screws. Use cordless driver with Phillips
head driver bit. Back out screws counter clockwise. Drink holder drops down
and out. Place dash panel in position over two glove boxes. Use 1/8" drill bit
to put four holes in dash panel. Two holes on each end of the dash panel.
Secure with screws provided. Screws are in a bag with the keys taped to the
inside of the dash panel.
Installation complete!
