The monohydrate has a very tough time getting absorbed into the muscle cells so it surrounds each cell causing the person to bloat and retain water. You could also buy it in a mix of other creatines such as Magnesium creatine chelate (MCC) or Tri Creatine Malate (TCM). I would strongly suggest Universal Animal Pump. It has all these creatines and other ingredients that put NO Explode to shame. Over my time of lifting I have become a strong supporter of the Universal Animal line of products, however I found that they don't work very well if taken not as instructed. Just take an Animal Pump 30 mins. before you lift on an empty stomach (haven't eaten more than a yogurt or something small in the last two hours) and its amazing.
