the cect p168 is not a fake iphone. its a phone with the likeness and appearance of the iphone. it is a phone in itself so it is not a fake phone... it works. the earlier version had apple logos on them to counterfeit the look now they dont. the phone is tri band 800 900 1900 freq bands. there are a few 850 900 1900 freq bands out there, very very rare. no quad band versions exist, repeat no quad band versions exist, none, not a single one. it does work in the usa but not as a quad band, the usa uses 850 and 1900 so if you are using a p168 in the states then you are on the 1900... unless you have the very rare 850 tri band which is marked as so on the phone in the back behind the battery it has to have written 850 to be legit or else its just going to say some thing like ifone triband 800 900 1900. dialing *#3646633* from the phone puts you into engineering mode, here there are some settings you can adjust in depth... such as volume control, not just high med low but how loud high med and low are. contrast, screen temp etc etc.one of the settings lets you choose which band you want to be on. if you want to test if you are receiving 850 go to engineering mode network freq bands then click on 850 only, itll have a cat then its done hit end to get out then try to make a call... can u? now you know. reverse the steps to undo just leave it on the last option auto and youll be fine, itll connect you on 1900 band. the phone also does not have java... none! all theses sellers are lying about one or the other or both, not quad no java. the phone comes with 2 batteries a wall charger and usb cable. fun phone though but im sick of all the fraud sellers jacking this phone price 200 upwards because people are bidding on them as falsely advertised. its a good phone for $150, great for $100. dont get suckered  and stop making it so hard to get one for 100 bucks on ebay... if it goes passed 100 stop bidding it is not worth it, try another bid trust me theres tons to choose from. you will be happy after buying this phone for 100. touch screen, long battery life, vibrant colors, camera, mp3 player, video record, video player, 2 sim cards,  1/4 th  iphone price, unlocked. but you will beat your head against the wall for spending more, you might as well have shelled out for the iphone. if this helps say so, if you have been thru it also... say so. remember no quad, no java.
