When buying rc car parts you should always check to see if a rolling chassis is available on ebay for your model they usualy sell for about 2 what average price of any part of that model sells for due to fact most people look for one part they need and figure having a almost complete set of parts for a few dollors more is great deal. i always check first. also when buying used cars on ebay make sure you stay away from those disclaimers like "i had her going 85 miles per hour this morning before pictes were taken" usually in situations like this the only one taken are buyers by the as is clause.
look very carfully and ask seller if the actual part you need is on model intact
then figure between 2x to 5 times the price for your part is great bid on these wreck from the rc world
dont get me wrong ive gotten lemons but ive also gotten ofna cars worth over 600 in mint condition because aluminum steering arm was bent for 50 buck with shipping so keep looking
also if possible for old kyosho and tamiya kits get the used one to make sure you are not getting reissue parts to restore your vintage cars thats just not cool
remember freinds if your nitro mixture is less than 25 your no longer fun and might as well sell your rc babies
