BUYING

when buying on ebay you really have to be careful! because you are trusting people that you don't know with your money and there are a lot of choices to make because there are many people selling identical items .so there are going to be sellers that offer items at lower costs but you have to use your judgment went considering which one to buy the old[ phrase that goes if it is to good to be true it probably is] there are a few things you can do to make your buying experience a good one the #1  (feedback) this is the way other buyers let you know how thier experience was   when reading feedback don't just look at negative or neutral comments because a lot of buyers and sellers will leave positive feedback but it will have a negative comment this will most times ensure that they do not recieve negative or neutral in there feedback. i have seen sellers with over 400 negative feedbacks but people still buy from them i'm not sure why! but if a seller has that many they do not need to be selling # 2 (payment methods )paypal is the safest way to buy anything on ebay it is free to sign up but your payments will be insured. also credit cards are good too as most credit card issuers will have internet fraud protection and can usually do a charge back under no circumstances should you ever use western union or any other for of money transfer as this will void any protection from ebay western union states in there legal notice that they are not responsible for any funds that get lost or do not reach there destination so you would not be able to look for help from them if you pay and never recieve your purchase which unfortunately happens a lot here on ebay. personal checks are a better way to pay than money orders because most banks also have fraud protection. if you do get a seller that does not send your item or when you get it is not as it was described contact the seller if you can't get anywhere with that then you go to the item you won and click on item not recieved link and answer questions to get a dispute started give a seller at least seven days to deliver a dispute can't be opened until ten days has past if you are buying a high dollar item and the seller does not offer insurance then you should contact that seller and request insurance but you will have to wait for an invoice from the buyer. cost for insurance should be 1.35 up to $ 50.00 and 1.00 for each additional 100.00 a lot of sellers way over inflate shipping charges thats why it is good to have so many of the same item for sale! you find the one that has normal shipping sellers are entitled to a handling fee within reason which will show in the shipping charge  occasionally a seller might contact you after you buy an item from them and ask if you would be interested in purchasing another item usually related to the first one and request that you send extra money for it. this add on will not have protection as it was completed outside of ebay so if that second item is broken or never shows up it will be your loss if seller does this tell them to list it and buy it that way so in all this just read every listing carefully i have seen people buy an empty box for the same price as the actual item but it was stated in the auction that you are bidding on a box only but buyers did not read description carefully this is what the seller was hoping for just recently a person bid 865.00 for a picture of a ps3 game console not the the game. but before paying looked at list again and noticed it that person would have lost that money because the description was correct

hope this helps to make your buying experience a good one
