Quick,  how hard is the high chair at the restaurant?  How about the one at home?  What about the booster seat you have strapped to your dining room chair?  Give me a break, the Bumbo seat is great and not at "to hard"!  It is a firm foam so it supports baby, but soft enough to push your finger into.  I think we as moms can get a little to carried away with ultra luxury for our little ones.   The bumbo is a great transition seat and has been a life saver with my 6th child in restaurants and at dinners at home.  I hope you moms out there will try it, it really is great!
