I purchased my 05 XB9R in june of this year, ive been riding bikes since i was 12.... im now 41..when i decided to buy a new bike it wasnt an easy decision....i tested a lot of different bikes including the new kawi ZX6 RR and the honda RR 600....for someone thats a little older the buell sure is a lot more comfortable....i was allways told...its better to be able to outride your bike that have it outride you...this is very true with the buell....since i bought mine two kids have died on their gixxers in my town...too much power not enough skill....if your thinking about buyin a new bike try a buell u might be suprised..i was...now i have a harley and a sportbike ..everywhere i go people stop me and ask questions about my bike...for me the only bad part about buying my bike was dealing with the harley dealership....a few of my friends have new harleys and they all say the same thing...dealing with a harley dealership sucks @ss...if i could do it again id buy from a private party...especially seems how my warranty hasnt done jack for me..they wouldnt warranty a headlight bulb that burned out the second day i had my bike and the first thousand mile service...they neglected to tell me i had to pay for to the tune of over 300$$$$...id definatly buy another one but il go private party next time if i can....if u have any questions feel free to mail me il do what i can....checkout sport twin dot com and superstreet bike magazine streetfighters are the future and buell leads the way..after owning my buell now since early juneor so....ive had the luxuary of having it in the shop a couple of times now....the absolute worst thing about owning a buell is dealing with harley dealers its sux soo bad...i finaly found a decent one if ur going to buy a buell make sure its an informed decision so far i have screamed at the top of my lungs twice now...whyyyy didnt i buy a japanese inline4 or an rc51 bike....but after im done having my fit and get on my roaring vtwin i still love it...u really have to want one to enjoy it...now i kind of wish id of bought the 12R instead the 9 seems a little under powered if ur a speedfreak u need the 12....ive had my bolt now since june last year...its been in the shop twice once because someone tried to steal it and messed up the ignition and one time because it fouled a plug....the plugs are hard as u know what to get toand it was under warranty so i had the dealership fix it....one conclusion ive come to is...if u dont just absolutly have ride a buell ur gonna be happy riding something else....after rding the 06' gsxr 1000 and the 06'zx10 i gotta say i wish i had bought one of those...the buell still holds a place deep in my heart....its cool easy to ride an attention getter...but u sit on one then go sit on one of the new japenese bikes and the buell feels a little bit like a heap....but lets remeber erick buell is a engineering genious now some of the japenese bikes are going to under the bike exhaust and a few other buell innovations but the buell needs anew motor if ur not willing to deal wit the buell problems and god forbid a harley dealer buy something else personaly i cant part with my buell but im looking for a salvage title inline 4 or maybe an older RC51 again if u have any questions feel free to ask...im gonna go ride my obnoxious yellow girl and scare some straights...cyaaaaz.also i hadnt ridden in a couple of years and sold all my gear so i had to go through buying all new gear il be writing guides on those too...theres a lot of good stuff out there finding the right gear isnt easy sometimes especially at a decent price...
