Motorcycle Riders - Want the best for communications ? you have found it with Blueant !

For those who have made the convenient and environmentally friendly transition from driving a car to riding a scooter or motorcycle, an obvious and sometimes significant loss is the ability to use the phone in traffic. BlueAnt's Interphone Handsfree and Intercom Bluetooth Helmet Kit addresses the issue.

There are two main challenges to using a phone on a motorbike or scooter: wind and control of your vehicle. If you've ever been talking to someone who is on a mobile phone in a windy place, you would know how the wind noise can drown out the caller. And those who ride and value their life would understand the importance of leaving both hands on the handle bars at all times.

As the happy owner of two other BlueAnt products (the X5 stereo Bluetooth headset and BlueSonic Bluetooth portable speakers), when I received the Interphone my expectations were high. I wasn't disappointed.

After attaching the device to my helmet (BlueAnt provides two attachment mechanisms with screws or a supplied adhesive), I followed the instructions to pair it with my phone (I use an i-mate JasJam but I also paired it with a couple of Nokias). From there I was set to talk and ride.

The first thing I tested was the noise-cancellation mechanism. I took a call at 80kmh on a moderately windy day. At my end the sound of the caller was as clear as a bell and to my surprise she said she could barely hear anything other than my voice, and my voice was clear.

I was not convinced this wasn't a once-off experience so I tried again and got the same result. This time I had switched on the "Voice Answer and Reject" mode. With this mode on, I was able to answer (by speaking sufficiently loudly when the phone started to ring) and reject the call (by saying nothing).

The device also has the ability to act as an intercom with another Interphone (as long as the users are within 150 metres of each other).

Having used several hands-free systems on my bike, I rate the BlueAnt Interphone an excellent product.
