The thing most new Harley owners want to do to their rides is make more noise and more power. Maybe I can steer you down the right direction and not have you waste alot of money on show. Most everybody starts with the exhaust. You can change the mufflers or even the whole system. Looks seems to play a bigger part here. Two into one systems are the best for performance but look terrible so most go with straight or drag pipes. Whatever you do leave the baffles in. Adjust them for better sound if you have to but leave something in for back-pressure. YOU NEED IT. Open pipes take away from low end torque and make your bike pop like crazy when you let off the throttle. Next install a good free-flowing air cleaner since your now letting it breath better. You dont need the Hyper, just a good filter. Most want to throw away the cv carb and install an S & S. Until you bore it or change heads, save your money and rejet the cv. Its not hard (look for my other guide on this) and you can still have good m.p.g out of the carb. Before I went for a cam, I think I would install a good ignition module. Either the S.E. race module or a Crane HI-4E module. They are easy to put in and give better performance than the stock module. Plus you can go to single fire with just a coil swap when you want to. If you just have to go faster than the guy next to you, sell the stock hog and buy a 96 incher on up and you'll be money ahead. otherwise these few swaps give the most bang for the bucks.
