For all alabama residents, if you are thinking about purchaseing a vespa scooter or other vehicle from out of state, you should contact seller and ask if it has a maine title. Maine does not title 300cc or smaller. To obtain Alabama title/registration, you will need notorized letter from Maine dmv stating such and a notorized bill of sale (sellers signature) plus an inspection for "road worthyness" by dot.( This is not the vin# inspection, it is the  emmission, mirrors, This is happening to me now, seller is not cooperating well and its been two months since purchase. cant sell if no title, cant ride if no title. Ask seller where title is from, contact that state revenue dpt to find correct infor so you wont get fustrated like me.
