the altoid sours tin, is very usefull, when used in conjuction with a 6 ounce tuna can, as a multifuel stove.1 prepare your tuna can, by Eating the tuna, and keeping the lid, to turn off your stove. 2 wash out your tuna Can, and with a hand Paper punch, like they sell at wal mart for a couple of bucks, punch out 4 holes evenly spaced, as close to the bottom of your tuna can.
then as close to the top as you can,of the can punch out 8 holes evenly spaced, you have just made a pot holder/winscreen combination. eat your altoid sours, even shareing them with others, till there gone, close the tin, and turn upside down into your tuna can, this makes a good hexamine, heat tab stove. to cook with rubbing alcohol, pot open your altoids sour tin,
Fill this portion with Cotton balls, perolite, or loose fiberglass insulation.
cut out a peice of wire screening the size of the outer diameter of the bottom of your altoid sour tin and tuck it in this holds your filling in place.
Now fill till saturated or lite.
You can do away without any filling, but it wastes fuel, but burns a little hotter.
by doing this all you do is pour in your alcohol
Denatured, metholated, ethyl or even
filling the bottom portion with Rubbing alcohol no more than half way up, Place inside your Tuna can, simply light the rubbing alcohol, and pot your on top, it will cook about 12 minutes at almost 260 degrees, or boil water in 7 minutes. If you want a fster stove, Punch 10 small holes, with a small sewing needle, held by pliers, in the raised Ring of the top of the sours tin. now fill half way up, with denatued alcohol like wal mart sells and put the lid back on tight, and place in your tuna can. pour a teaspoon of denatured Alcohol on to your altoids tin, light and put your pot, on the tuna can, this will cook for 22 minutes at about 424 degrees remember the lid to the tuna can, it's to put out your stove when needed Good eating Have fun sam
