I love Zamy's postcard size serigraphs.
Even though these postcards only measure 5 x 7 inches in dimension, the intensity of each of these small pieces is remarkable.
The visual language of his art is intense and powerful, the colours are rich, the emotions expressed are joyous and hopeful, and spirituality permeates throughout the images.
They say a master can use a very small space to build a great work and a good example is "Angel with Bouquet".
This postcard masterpiece is the most beautiful serigraph that Zamy produced.
I purchased this piece for its' sheer beauty; however this piece is also very emotional and gives the viewer an intense experience.
Even though this experience is transitory, it is repeated with similar intensity every time you see it.
Is it any wonder that I and many others regard his works as icons of Romance, Peace, Love, Hope and Prosperity.
Postcard serigraphs are very affordable and much cheaper to frame than larger pieces.
Even a very large framed collection can be handled and stored easily, allowing you to rotate the artworks on your walls more frequently.
For less than $100 a collector should be able to purchase a fairly good piece, however for that rare and special masterpiece be prepared to pay $150 or more.
As collectors we debate vigorous as to which pieces are Zamy's best postcard masterpieces.
Price is usually a good indicator as we stretch our budget to outbid other keen collectors with the same obsession, however that is not always the case.
Below are some of the pieces that I would include in my list of postcard masterpieces. Some of these pieces still remain in my collection whilst others that I have sold are remembered with fond regret.
Any of these postcard masterpieces would make a wonderful addition to a collector's portfolio.
