ZalmanCNPS7700-CU 120mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan – Review
This thing is GIANT. Make sure you don't have any high profile V-regs near your CPU sticking up that could get in the way. The installation is easy but it does require you to remove your motherboard. There is a plate that fits underneath the motherboard which has a bracket that screws down into it from the top. It takes longer to remove the motherboard than it does to install this assembly. Recommend this for new PC builds or for when the PC case is being upgraded. Since the motherboard will be pulled out already, it won't be a hassle.
I have used many of these and will continue buying them until they are all gone. I have cooled everything from over clocked 3.2GHz Intel Extreme CPUs, to 3.6GHz Intel CPUs, to 3.733GHz Dual Core Intel Extreme CPUs. All of them are no match for this cooling solution. The 120mm fan is QUIET. There is even a manual fan speed controller but just connecting the fan to the motherboard is enough. The CPUs just don't get hot enough to phase this cooler.
PROS – Fantastic cooling solution that is quiet as well as efficient, easy to install.
CONS – The only down side is that the motherboard needs to be removed to install it, but this is common with most after market CPU coolers.
