Yuna HOW 2 Braid HAIRTAIL Ponytail Final Fantasy X2 EZ!

Hi!  My name is the Shining Polaris!  I Love to cosplay!  I especially love to go as the girls of Final Fantasy X-2!  I already have been Paine, Yuna. and Rikku!  I plan to go as theme again but in different dress spheres!

Yuna is one of the most popular characters!  Her costume is simple to do and the outfit just looks so awesome!  Her signature look is her long hair tail!  Beleive it or not, you can make one yourself following this easy guide!  Why spend $80.00+ on a hair tail from a foreign/international/overseas seller (BEWARE!  Read my other guides!).  Not only that they take about 6-8 weeks to deliver for you.  All you need to do is buy simple supplies and you can make one yourself right now!  You will feel much more satisifed doing it yourself!

Supplies you will need!

1.  8 yards of 1 inch wide red strapping (Like they use for belts or straps on bags)

2.  2 yards of 1 inch wide piping filler cord

3.  Brown/Black hair extensions - VERY cheap! You can buy at a wig or weave store!

4.  A piece of white fabric - cut it into a rectangle about 7 in high -- 9 in long

5.  Pink fabric dye

6.  Piece of purple or black ribbon

7.  Ponytail/Hair tie

How to make Yuna's hair Tail!

1.  Cut the red strapping into 4 pieces (2 yards a piece!)

2.  Follow the simple drawing below on how to braid the straps!

3.  Pin the first cross of the weave onto the top of the filler cord

4.  The continue to weave the strap while wrapping around the cord.  You can pin the weave into place along the way so you don't lose your place to make a gap!

5.  When you reach the end, cut the remaining filler cord off and sew the strappings ends together on both ends.

6.  Attatch the hair tie to the top of the hair tail

7.  Take your hair extensions and sew it to the end of the hair tail.  Afterwards tape it to the end of the rope to secure it tightly.

8.  Make the pink dye.  After you are done making it brush the dye onto the piece of white fabric.  Brush it so it will have that fading look from pink to white.  Brush it on the lenght of the piece

9.  When it dries...hem it if you like.  Then sew the piece into the tube.  make sure the pink and white is going up and down.

10.  Slide the pink and white tube into the hairtail so it covers the end where the hair extension is attatched.

11.  Tie it into place tightly with the ribbon (If you want you can sew it in and then tie the ribbon!)

WOW!  That wasn't hard!  Now you made your own Yuna Hair tail!  Show it off to the cons players at your next con!
