Some friends were asking me how do you buy all of the good Yugioh cards on Ebay.  I have a few tips on buying Yugioh Cards that are worth your bucks.

1. Buying by Popularity:
-The Reason why some cards are more valuable than they look like it is because of a few reasons:

    A. Widespread use of the card- Meaning that most duelists would use it in a tournament and their friends tell their friends how good the card is and thensome. [ex: Jinzo, Sakuretsu Armor, Smashing Ground, Enemy Controller, Cyber Dragon, Mirror Force, etc.]

    B. Tournament Value- When someone wins the Yugioh Championship and duelists find out what cards the champ used for the deck, odds are that everyone wants to be like the champ and hence the value of the cards go up. [Ex: Zaborg the Thunder Monarch was one of the main cards in the 2006 Championship Deck, and now its value has skyrocketed]

    C. Collectors Value- Usually a duelist who doesnt play anymore but loves the cards so much that they keep the cards in mint condition.  Duelists would hunt for the rarest cards that are near to impossible to grab and hence their card value is almost equal to gold. [ex: Kanan the Swordmistress, Cyberstein, *PCY Dark Magician, PCY Kuriboh, DOD Mesmeric Control (European Versions)*,

    D. Forbidden Value- When cards return from the forbidden list (Check on upper deck website) the value returns because of the fact that a favorite card once to be good, then became forbidden, and now returns with a vengance.  The value is high, but remember, when a card is forbidden, the duelist won't have much use of the card(s) anymore.

2. Ways of ensuring the best card(s):

    A. Low Shipping Auctions- Sometimes many buyers would turn away from a great card(s), because the shipping is too high and/or unreasonable.  I would say that unless it is International or that the Card(s) are very valuable, i wouldnt buy the cards.  However, if the cards are very good good and you insist on buying, $5 to $6 shipping would be the maximum.  A Free Shipping Auction is risky because of the fact that you can bid yourself into a frenzy, but its worth it.

    B. Multi-Card Auctions- The one thing that i hate when i check on ebay is these random card auctions.  Most of the time its common cards and maybe 1 or 2 rares.  Look for these auctions that display the number of cards and the names of the cards [Ex: a 11 holo auction that displays these cards: Blue Eyes White Dragon, Raigeki, Cyber Dragon, etc.] However, if some of the cards are popular, the value of the lot will increase.  If someone is offering bonus cards like common cards, then its worth it.

    C. Decks- Why not check out fresh made up decks that duelists created.  Odds are that some of the cards you would need and its worth it to take a chance.  Starter's Decks are easy and you could buy them easily, but real decks have more value.  The more holos, the better.

-If nothing else, like every auction and in life, you must take a chance and luck is always required.  GOOD LUCK !
