Have you ever thought about a Custom Photo Magnet to dress up your gun safe, metal door, desk, filing cabinet or toolbox? Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing or taking a photo for this purpose.

   For this example we are going to use a picture for a 17 x 11 Custom Photo Magnet for Gun Safe. When selecting or taking a picture for this remember that focus and resolution are important for an enlargement of this size. When taking a digital picture use the higher resolution option on your camera. I have had very good luck with well focused 35 mm snapshots as well. You can also send a scan of any good photo, just keep a high resolution. Minor editing is usually not a problem. I can take care of red eye and minor scratches and flaws. Also remember that the photo must be cropped to fit into the oval. There should be room around the subject for cropping, A crowded photo may result in part of the subject being cropped out. 

   Below is an excellent example of a picture suited for this purpose. Note that the focus and color are very good. Also there is plenty of room around the subject for cropping while still leaving enough landscape to compliment the picture.

   Here is the final product. You can see what I am referring to about room for cropping plus enough landscape to keep the picture interesting. I always send a proof for your approval before printing a magnet so you know in advance how your magnet will appear.
