I'm much more serious before paying on eBay nowadays.  It seems eBay only cares about getting their money in the end. And you always lose from "crooked sellers".  You lose shipping fees!  And end up with nothing!  2 shipping fees is good money wasted! Shipping fees should be covered/paid by these bogus sellers. There are sellers selling counterfeit items KNOWINGLY & some knowingly selling bogus "items not as described" that have been reported to eBay & continue their selling priviledges to innocent customers. It's just not fair. eBay has shown me that all they care about is their MONEY.  I think the legal system needs to get involved here with eBay. There are no real regulations & real fairness enforced here.  My initial love for eBay is surely diminishing......

I think TWICE now when I see negative feedback, some of it is just retaliation because the seller was crooked & the buyer was honest enough to warn us buyers about it. Lately, if I get an item that is "not as described", give negative feedback & the seller wants to return with negative feedback & lower my rating, SO BE IT. I have to stand up for myself with these crooked sellers because here on eBay we are all INDEPENDENT. Ebay doesn't really help you out, you're on your own.
