Quite a uniquely designed 3.7" Trinitron TV, its controls, over a 20+ years now, will show its one of four, weak, components.(all the same)
The switches on the front of the TV that control, Band switching(VHF-low, VHF-high, UHF), Channel Scan Down, Channel Scan Up & Indicator will probably not respond anymore and you will have to revert to manual tuning (no more automatic) on the VHF-low band (channels 2-6).
These switches are really critical to obtain full operation of this set as a remote feature was not ever implemented.
Outside of that, the TV always had the amazing ability to pull in a very good image.
By now, anyone that still has one, whether or not it has been in use, will find that the picture & or the sound is not quite up to snuff, unless it's worst than that.
That is because the electrolitic capacitors have reached their life expectency and mearly need replacing, followed along with a very good alignment.
When the hours, and I do mean hours, of accomplishing that, you will have a Vintage like-new set.
(these switches are no longer available from Sony Parts)
