A classic rangefinder camera from the late sixties and early seventies. It is capable of taking excellent photographs using film up to 800 asa. It particularly good for low light situations if you can hold it steady, since the electronic shutter will stay open for up to 30 seconds and it has a fast 1.7 lens. In very bright sunlight, watch out for flare, a lens shade is a good idea with this camera.

The problem to look out for is the dreaded "pad of death". This is a little plastic pad in the shutter linkage that often has disolved over the  decades.  If you search for the Yashica Guy's website you can get more information about this. Ask the seller if there is a "clunk" when advancing the film. This is a sign that the pad is still there. I have successfully replaced a few of them, but it is very tricky, involves taking the top of the camera off and working with needles and glue.

The other problem you will encounter is that the battery, a six volt, doesn't fit in the battery holder. You will have to get a battery adapter, also available on Ebay, or make one up yourself with cardboard or tape and a small spring.
