Be careful of listings that advertise Yamaha pianos that the seller has imported directly from Japan. This piano is what is called among piano technicians a "gray market" piano. If a piano technician ever needs to order parts for the piano, Yamaha will ask the serial number, by which they will know it is a grey market piano and they will not sell parts for it or support it in any way. Yamaha makes pianos for the domestic Japanese market differently than they do for import to America - it has to do mainly with the way the wood is cured for the different climates of Japan and America.
