Hello fellow shoppers and Gymbo Junkies. Just wanted to jot down a couple of notes and hopefully helpful tips for some of the newer ebayers and the next generation of Gymbohaulics.

I never really understood Gymbo mania until I had a girl, but I get it now. ADORABLE lines with matching hair accessories, shoes, and purses- what's not to love? All oh so cute and all with darling details.

Let me start off by saying Gymboree clothing is an investment( this is what you tell you husbands ladies:o). Of course you can go to discount retailers and buy 3 of the same item for the cost of 1 from Gymboree, but when you try to resell it, the following season, you'll be lucky to get a buck back. In general it will cost someone the same price to go and buy the same thing brand new as to pay 99cents + shipping for your "gently used" one. See what I mean?Even if you go to higher end department stores, you will not get much back unless you get lucky- people don't enter department store brands ( other than designer labels) on searches- they enter GYMBOREE!!

The first thing you should do is sign up for Gymboree's email. They have CRAZY good sales to go with their crazy retail prices... some recent examples-1,2,3 FREE ( every third item free) Red hot dot sale, and  GYMBUCKS to name a few!!Also they get a new line in every couple of weeks so the older ones get marked down, 20,40, up to 60%. Everyone who sells on ebay, gets their clothes from 1 of 3 places-the retail store, the outlet store( which isn't that much cheaper) or fellow eBayers. Be smart, buy on sale, dress your children well.

To properly care for your clothes wash them in cold, inside out, and hang to dry. Yes it is more work, but you are protecting your "investment".

VERY IMPORTANT-  you must sell your items when they are in demand! Do not attempt to sell your summer items in June- sell in February or March. When you sell, KNOW the line name, if you've forgotten it check out gymbohaven.com.You must take clear pictures that show your potential customers the details. If you host your own pictures ( example sellersourcebook) you can put a ton of pics and use matching gymbo templates for a monthly fee. Write an excellent title- many people look for "lots, outfits, or sets".Keep in mind that people search for items using different keywords( top, shirt, blouse) so use everything that comes to mind. You probably will get counted off for grammer (lol) but your items will show up on more searches. Be honest in your descriptions.Do not list in the middle of the night- many times auctions go up in the last 2 minutes and if yours ends at a crazy time, people will not be watching. Offer shipping discounts- I hate buying 1 shirt and paying $4.05 ship- tell them they can combine shipping and save... a lot of times they bid higher than normal to "save" on shipping.

To recap:

1. Buy quality clothes on sale

2. Take care of them

3. Resell them

4. Use profit to buy more

Have fun and happy selling :o)
