You can use this yummy dough to make heathy snacks. Our kids love to make this into pumpkins in the fall, snowmen in the winter,hearts for valentines day and snakes and bugs year round. I think they like the idea of eating something they are afraid to touch if it were real. You will need the following:

1 1/2 cups warm water

1 teaspoon salt

1 package yeast

1 tablespoon sugar

4 cups flour

1 egg beaten

measure water into large bowl, sprinke yeast into water and stir until soft.

add sugar salt and flour,mix until dough forms a ball

knead on a floured surface until dough is smooth and elastic

roll and sculpt dough into shapes animals or letters

space your sculptures on a greased cookie sheet cover and let rise until they double in size

brush with egg

bake at 350 degrees 11-15 munutes or until they are firm and golden brown 

cool slightly and enjoy your edible art!!
