Having been a solid state audiophile for some time, and had the opportunity to own a MC10 -L vacuum tube amplifier for some time now and must say I have been taken back to the days of true sonic sound like my ears haven't heard since the early 70s.This amp will treat you to the sound that one has not realized since the days of fine recordings and playback only the few could afford.I use it in my home theater as my main channel coupled to a pioneer elite VSX-56TXI for the processing and center and surround rear speakers. In the stereo mode the soundstage comes so far forward that you would believe that all seven of your speakers are still on.It's one of those things "you have to be there".If your on the fence about tube amplification , JUMP, you will not be dissapointed. You must remember that tube amps do favor the old school effiecient speakers,.ie Klipsch& JBL as the lower power levels of the tube amps will be adjusted in volume levels to the high powered solid state amps in use today.Remember that loudness does not rival sonic purity! You will not regret moving tube amplification into your home theater realm. All in all, this is a great entry level amp with great reviews and can be bought under 500.00USD on E-Bay for a short while,JUMP!!
