I ordered a scooter from a company called ScooterJones on the internet.

It was a Xtreme 470 gas powered scooter. Cost was 279.00

DHL finally delivered it 10 days later at 7pm at night,  after many phone calls to them during the day

It was pitch black, and the delivery guy had the damaged side of the box facing away from  me.

I did sign for it. little side note to all, open box and check this type of item, while the delivery guy is still there

My son and I opened the box to assemble the scooter , and it was very damaged.

There were loose screws and parts falling out of the holes in the box, and all the plastic

Parts of the scooter were chipped and broken.

It was a mess.

My son desperately had waited for this scooter, so we still tried to put it together.

As we progressed, it became obvious that it wasn’t useable.

We took photos of all the broken parts.

In addition to the broken scooter, there was the motor issue.                

I ordered a 49cc engine, and a 47cc engine came.

I was told in an email to Scooterjones before I bought the scooter, that

 I was paying $40.00 more dollars then the price I had first seen, since this was a brand new 2007 epa compliant scooter with a 49cc engine instead of a 47cc like the advertised one.

I contacted ScooterJones that night with the situation, and they instructed me to try to get DHL to come back and pick up the box shipment refused.

I called DHL, and I when they returned the next day, they came to my door and told me that I would need a prod return label from scooterjones, and that they would even hand bring it with them, since this was an unusual situation.

Once this happened, scooterjones started telling me they don’t accept returns , no matter what!

That they would replace parts only, my last unanswered email to them was asking how they were going to replace what was almost the entire scooter, and still refuse to just send me a new scooter, which at this point, I was simply asking for a new scooter from them instead of a refund.

ScooterJones stopped helping me, if they had ever been.

It would appear ScooterJones is simply a drop shipper, and I called ScooterJones billing dept, to discuss this situation and got voice mail.

I later discovered I was actually talking to,  through email, no one will talk to you on the phone

The Xtreme Scooter Company itself, and Scooterjones is only a dropshipper, so once again buyer beware, all the scooters like this you see are sent from the Xtreme Scooter people, and if you do a search on google for BBB, or complaints at ripoffreportdotcom ,  or here struggleville.blogsdotcome  you will hear many stories like mine about all their products.

I started to do some research on Scooter Jones and Xtreme Scooters.

I found many many horror stories just like mine about the Xtreme Scooters with the BBB, and some against ScooterJones too.

Xtreme Scooters told me they were sorry it arrived damaged and unworking, but they would send me all the replacemet parts, and oh sorry they are all on back order!

And gee ignore that sticker that says 47cc on the motor, it really is a 49cc like we told you.

And they only have a 30 day part replacement policy, and if they don't have the parts, you are out of warrenty.

I have never had an experience like this with online buying.

I thought I did my homework, but somehow I missed this one.

Terrible customer service, do not stand by their product at all, and product is a piece of junk.

I wish I had read a story like mine first, I never would of bought from ScooterJones or an Xtreme Scooter.
