Should you get the PS3 or the Xbox 360?

Well lets compare the two:

Xbox 360 was rushed out for last Xmas so Microsoft would get rich, rather than beta test the system long to work out the bugs like Sony did. PS3 will be Region-free so you can buy games from around the world on ebay. XBox 360 is not Region free so you must buy game with you region code(NSTC,PAL,SECAM etc..)  PS3 will have a online service to compete with Xbox live. PS3 can take up to 7 controllers unlike Xbox 360 which is limited to 4 controllers. PS3 takes Blu Ray discs that hold up to 25gb-50gb of data, Xbox 360 takes DVD's that hold up to 8gb-16gb of data.
Ps3 supports all HDTV's 1080p,1080i,720p ; Xbox 360 supports 720p,1080i and 1080p(latest update needed). PS3 premium will have a 60gb hard drive, Xbox 360 has a 40gb hard drive.
There are report of glitches in the PS3's , so pay the extra cash and get a warranty.
PS3 can downscale but not upscale. If the game is 720p Ps3 can't make it 1080i or 1080p.
If the game is 1080p if you don't have a 1080p tv it will be downscaled to 480i.

Xbox 360 has many games launched for it all ready. PS3 has the better specs of the two, but much less games. The new PS3 80bg modle will not have support for ps2 or ps1 games, due to removal of the Emotion Engine(EE) and GS. Sadly most PS3 games do not support VOIP or any kind of way for player to voice chat in game.
