This will be a short summary of the difference and which xbox 360 system you purchase. Basically, in the market there are two type of Xbox 360 systems presented by Microsoft. One is the "Core" Xbox 360 System, and one is the "Premium" Xbox 360 System. The bottom line and break down are below. I'll list what is included in each package, pro's, and con's: What you will get with both systems… Features for an Xbox 360 in General: -Multi-channel surround sound compatible (requires Component HD Cables) -All games are in high-definition -- supports 16:9 televisions, 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions with anti-aliasing -Supports Memory Units starting at 64MB and 20GB hard drive -Supports Xbox 360 HD-DVD player add-on for high-definition movie playback -Backwards compatible with many original Xbox titles (requires Hard Drive) Xbox 360 Core System What’s Included: -Xbox 360 console -Wired controller -Detachable faceplate -Xbox Live Silver membership -Standard AV cables Xbox 360 Premium System: What’s Included: -Xbox 360 Console -Hard Drive (20 GB) -Wireless Controller -Headset -Faceplate -Ethernet Connectivity Cable -Component HD-AV Cable -Xbox Live Silver membership -Xbox Live Gold 30-day trial In short summary, and from my honest opinion, you should go with the Premium System. Just for $100.00 extra, you will receive a 30-day Gold Live Trial, a 20 GB Hard Drive, (Better than spending $40.00 on a memory card), a Wireless Controller, Component HD Cable, Faceplate, Headset, and much more. For an extra Benjamin bill, it is well worth the extra money. You will find that using a memory card is useless, because the size of game saves, demos, and trial games will take over your hard drive space quickly. Which will result in choosing what you want to save and deleting and re-downloading. It’s a big hassle. Coming from my experience, go with the larger hard drive. If you calculate the MSRP and costs of each item you receive in a Premium bundle, you will find that if purchasing a Core system, you will be spending more money buying the accessories and loaded items in Premium system bundle. Do not get tricked into getting the cheaper system, for this one, I suggest you go with the larger bundle, spend a little more money, but save A LOT of time and headache.
