Wusthof Knives

For many chefs and food connosieurs, the name Wusthof connotes the highest possible quality in fine cutlery and knives.  Wusthof is actually a German company which claims to pride itself on the manufacture of precision forged cutlery (according to the Wusthof website).  The company is located in Solingen, Germany and was founded in 1814.  Many of the best chefs of world...from Europe, the United States, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere...rely on Wusthof knives for chopping, dicing, mincing, cutting, pounding, peeling, skinning, fileting, and other culinary needs.  The Wusthof company sports a prominent TRIDENT symbol in its logo design.
Many customers and consumers enjoy the quality stainless steel construction and robust grips supported by the Wusthof set of cutlery.  The company makes a large number of products, including some that are very typical:

  • bread knife
  • butter knife
  • spatula
  • tweezers
  • cook's knife
  • ham slicer, etc.

..and some products that are very unusual:

  • tailor's sheats
  • salami knife
  • grapefruit knife
  • garlic press
  • gadget roll
  •  lobster shears,
  • and more!

Whichever Wusthof product is used, the customer can always feel comfortable with the world-class level of support and customer service offered by the Wusthof corporation.    According to one chef we know, Wusthof makes using kitchen equipment fun!   Although we have no independent source to verify this claim, we've also heard rumors that some of the food prepared at dinners for European royalty is even made with Wusthof products.

Wusthof products can be found in many of the world's leading retailers such as Williams Sonoma. Bloomingdale's, and Crate and Barrel.   They make wonderful gifts!
