What kind of gifts are more special to give to someone?: personalized gifts. When my friends are having a baby, I buy up some different colored baby blankets and some embrodiery thread, and make them personalized baby blankets. When the time comes around for one of them to have their baby and I get that call that he or she is born, I get the name and sex of the baby, and then I just pick out a pink blanket for a girl or a blue for a boy etc., and then I put the first name and the birthdate on the blanket and it makes an original personal gift; different than the regular baby stuff. It also shows time taken. Anyone can do this because it isn't like real embrodiery, that is really time consuming. I just had the idea to just try to write with a needle the letters as I would do with a pen. I just put the embroidery thread through the needle and tie it in a knot at the end and sew in and out creating letters. Circles need more sections to make them round, and of course straight parts are easier. I use an embroidery hoop to hold the section of  blanket in place. Just pretend you are writing with a pen. You will suprise yourself with the result!
