The WrapperCash promotion from Hershey's has people bidding up a storm to get the points.  I thought I should write something up to help keep you from spending too much for those points on eBay auctions and Buy It Now purchases.  Please read this through and DON'T get ripped off by these auctions!  A serious price adjustment needs to happen and it won't until people wise up and stop paying these prices just for wrappers.

First, some background that some may or may not know...
Below is a list of the different Hershey candy items and the WrapperCash points that the code under the wrapper is worth.

I have seen lately that the average price in an auction for a 2 point code (1 wrapper) is anywhere from 40-50 cents each or more (example - a recent 36 wrapper auction ended that yielded 72 total points went for $15.10 plus $0.50 shipping --- a whopping 43.3 cents per wrapper)! 

The average price for a Buy It Now purchase for a 2 point code (1 wrapper) is anywhere from 52-58 cents per code (example - a recent Buy It Now purchase for 28 wrappers yielding 56 total points went for $13.99 with free shipping --- averaging 49.96 cents per wrapper which is the cheapest Buy It Now price average that I saw)!

Now, don't you think you can buy a candy bar at the store for the price you are paying someone online for just the WRAPPER???  There is at least one grocery or drug store that should have Hershey candy bars for sale or on sale for 50 cents or a little less.  The membership clubs like Sams, Costco, BJs all sell multi-packs of these candy bars with the price averaging around 33 cents EACH.  Buy the candy, each what you can, give away what you can, look up recipes on the internet that use the candy bars as ingredients (there are many - use Google or Yahoo to search).

I hope this information provides some much needed insight to your WrapperCash point acquisition process.  Unless the price per wrapper goes down, it's best to buy the candy bars.  Go ahead and eat a snack once in a while, bake some candy bar cookies/bars, or save them in a plastic bag in the freezer for a rainy day.  There can't be that many people out there that are on diets and are willing to accept and pay these prices just for wrappers!
