I have had so many questions about the World Dolls Gone With The Wind.  First I need to tell you I know very little about the 17 inch - 21 inch dolls.  I am going to list the 8-12 inch dolls and when they were made and who put them out.  I believe I have all but should you note that I have missed one, Please let me know and I will amend.  There are some variations in some of the numbers.  I have tried to note them where I know them.

Let's start with Movie Greats.  These have a front flap and state Movie Greats. 

These were put out by MGM in 1967.  10 dolls.

71246 Rhett Gray tux, gray vest/wine ascot.  More rare-vest in mauve or lavender.
71251 Mr. O'hara light blue suit.

50th Anniversary Edition. 1969 put out by MGM.  Box says 50th Anniversary and has front flap. 6 dolls

There is a 1986 store display unit that was put out by Turner to advertise the 50th Anniversary dolls.
This unit has 12 inch Scarlett, Melanie, Rhett, Ashley, and an 8 inch Bonnie Blue.

I hope this has helped those that collect the World Doll Gone With The Wind Series.  I hope you will take the rare catagory as a maybe.  I have bid on some that are very rare and received them for $15.00 plus shipping.  Especially in the summer when buyers are not buying as much.  At Christmas, bids go higher.  So use your judgement and decide how badly you want the doll, or if you can wait.
