What is it about our World Clocks?  Our world clocks will give you the exact time of day in any given country at any given time at a single glance.  The simplest method is the 'old fashioned' way.  Our clocks are like having 12 clocks all rolled into one.   All you need to do is add a single AA battery to the back of the clock then set it to your current time - that's it!  No more guessing what time it is in Australia or the United Kingdom when all you have to do is take one glance at our World Clock.  The center of the clock is an illustrated map with the major countries & cities written on it.  As shown in our photo above, 1/2 of the inner circle is shaded and the other 1/2 is not.  This is so that you will know whether the time zone you are seeking is in daylight or evening hours.

You don't have to be an Aviator or a Geography teacher to appreciate the abilities of a world clock.  Many who have family members that travel around the world a lot, such as Pilots, Stewarts, etc, find this tool useful.  Scientists also enjoy using the World Clock in their class as a teaching tool (and kids find it very interesting, too).

Of course, some folks prefer the UTC (Dual Time Clocks) over the World Clocks because they are easier to read from say, across the room.  The Dual Time Clocks we carry give you the choice of 2 time zones at a glance.  You can set one hour hand to your time zone and another hour hand to a time zone of your choice.  Either one can run on the 24 hour time zone.  A lot of Short Wave Ham Radio stations prefer the Dual Time Clocks (that we call UTC clocks).

UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated. It is a universal time based on the Greenwich Meridian used by the military and also in aviation. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) can be considered approximately equivalent to Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). GMT as such is now pretty much obsolete since it has been replaced by UTC. Using this timezone/standard avoids errors and problems associated with different time zones and summer times operational in different countries.
