It's easy for one person to tell another what to do - BUT - the real growth experience comes in thinking and learning for yourself.
This Guide is to give you some ideas and clues and then below you will find an exercise for dreaming with your Crystal Skull.
Here are a few things to think about when you work with a crystal skull.
Crystal Skull researchers agree that crystal skulls have the potential to do certain things with energy, when carved properly. Crystal skulls are tools of awareness. Although the exact words used below might not be universally used by each researcher, the concepts are solid. We can say that a properly carved skull can:
Focus Energy
Reflect Energy
Refract Energy
Amplify Energy
Attune Energy
Transmit Energy
Transform Energy
Store Energy
and they may...Act as a Witness
Crystal Skulls are potentially very powerful tools of Spiritual Awareness.
Crystal skulls amplify energy. That is something anyone working with a crystal skulls knows and knows pretty quickly.
So... what do they amplify when you are working with one?
If you have no specific intent or thought of what you want when you are working with one, (or even when you are around one for very long) then they will tend to amplify the strongest underlying (and usually unresolved) emotional issue.
This could be great or you could feel uncomfortable.
You might feel emotional, overwhelmed... upset, anxious, peaceful, joyful, aggressive... any kind of emotion is possible.
They don't make you feel anything - they might amplify it, though.
It's your responsibility to know that they could do this and to be prepared. What could set your intent on it amplifying?
I suggest setting your intent to have clarity, to start with. If you try to be more complicated, you'll trip yourself up. The subconscious is very literal and you have to know how to 'talk' to it to get it to cooperate. Crystal skulls at this level are simply taking your intent and amplifying it - they are not yet doing anything else with that 'vibration.'
So, keep it simple!
Clarity is a simple concept. It can really help anyone in a variety of situation to have clarity. IF you have clarity, then you have a priceless tool for spiritual and emotional growth.
Lots of people try to increase their psychic abilities. You probably already have some abilities, but you lack the clarity on how to use them or how to figure out what the heck something might mean, (like a dream) when it happens.
Because they do more than just amplify energy, keep in mind that a crystal skull could help you transform any emotions that come up, also.
And so on. Look at the above list carefully and think about it...

A Spiritual Dreaming Exercise for Working With Crystal Skulls, Angels and Higher Beings By Sherry Whitfield Merrell
This is an exercise which is meant to assist you in beginning to use dreams lucidly and creatively. It is meant to help you to remember your dreams, as well as to become aware in them. This exercise is also a good way to start remembering the experiences and contacts that you have with your Higher Energies such as your Guardian Angels, Master and Crystal Skulls.
The exercise utilizes a special spiritual point, which is located in one of your subtle bodies. In other words, it is not on the physical body. Although I can describe a spot close to where it is located, it is actually located slightly above the physical area.
It is an intense energy vortex, bringing higher spiritual energies into your physical body. If you don't believe in the idea of auras or subtle energies, you can still try the exercise and see if it works for you. It is not dependent on your beliefs. All you have to do is pretend that you have this point! By being willing to pretend that something is happening, your intent is engaged and something will happen.
This exercise, is “intent driven,” as are all exercises that utilize the subtle energies around us. Just act "as if" it is possible and your intent will start the process.
It is a little difficult to explain, but I will attempt to describe what you are going to do.
Try this at night, just before you go to sleep. I like to prepare for any spiritual exercise by taking a minute or two beforehand, give myself to start relaxing a bit, and bring thoughts of someone that I love into my mind and into my heart. I just imagine that someone or something that I love is in front of my and I am giving them a hug, drawing them close to my heart. If it is am image that makes me smile, that’s even better. It’s very simple and it helps to open my heart chakra.
Next, place your attention gently on a point located at the back of the head. It is about ½ inch above the occipital ridge, in the middle. That’s the bumpy ridge that runs round the back of your head. If you move your fingers over the area, you will feel a slight indentation. It’s about ½" to ¾” in diameter. Everyone has one. This is also the site of a powerful acupuncture point.
However, this point is not an acupuncture point, a jin shin point or other any kind of point that you may have heard of being used in energy work. This point is located in the very fine subtle body surrounding the head, sometimes called the “soul body”.
Remember, I am giving you an approximate physical point to begin with, but it is not on the physical body. If you have heard about chakras, you may understand the concept a little easier. This point is a focus where great energies are coming into the physical body, via the subtle bodies.
Place your attention on that area and start to breath slowly and deeply. Imagining your breath moving in a circular pattern, upwards, around, down, into and through the point. Pretend that your breath is a bright white light, forming a circle, starting at the exhalation from your nose, going up and around your head and into the point. Time your imaginary circle of breath so that when you slowly breath out, your breath follows this imaginary circle, upwards, around and towards the point. When your breath "gets to" the point, you “inhale it,” into the point, going right inside your head and then back out your nose. It may be a little tricky at first, but keep trying. This is a deeply relaxing rhythm when you get the hang of it.
As you do this, suggest to yourself that the point is opening, to whatever degree is natural and appropriate for you, at this time. Be sure and use the words, natural and appropriate.
Do this breathing for about two to five minutes. You may wish to work up to longer periods of this type of breathing, depending on whether or not you are comfortable with it.
After a few minutes of the circular breathing, take a moment to ask for assistance from your own Guardian Angel. Ask for him or her to help you in your quest to open more fully to your dream experiences. Ask for your Angel to come to you in your dreams.
Then, simply go to sleep.
A few words of caution. Doing this exercise is perfectly safe. Results vary from just getting a good night’s sleep, to dramatic, vivid experiences. Whatever you get is just fine. If you are not getting the results that you think you “should” be getting, maybe you need to examine your beliefs and try and change your expectations!
There is no way to “hurry up” the process or “blast” the point open. If you are impatient, and try to take shortcuts, it won’t work. This kind of breathing does the job, just fine.
I have never seen anyone be able to force one of these points open, but if someone did manage to do it, I doubt very much if it would be a comfortable experience. Rushing things of a spiritual nature can cause a kind of “spiritual” shock” to your system. This can feel like the flu, cause unusual weakness, or you could just feel “spacey.” Some people get frightened and then their spiritual growth stops.
You may have felt this kind of shock, perhaps when you found a spiritual or psychic subject that totally fascinated you. You read one book after another, take every workshop, get readings about it, etc. You go into a kind of overload. That is not the path of balance!! So take it easy. Ask for what is correct for you now. Pushing could actually set you back on your opening process. Like it or not, patience is a part of our unfoldment!
If you are interested in possibly experiencing and working with past lives in your dreams, you can use the color orange for your breath. Then, ask to be shown a past life in your dreams. This is especially good when you have problems with another person and don't know why. I make no claims that what you see is really going to be a past life, BUT it could be.
The information you will get – such as the manner in which the people in the dream are behaving towards one another and especially any feelings involved in the relationships – can be very insightful. It’s well worth the try.
Again, be patient. I have worked with some dream researchers, using this method and it can be very effective. These things are highly individual. Different exercises appeal to and work with different people. Only do what feels right to you, personally. There are many other exercises that you can try. Let's face it, if something doesn't appeal to you, you probably won't do it anyway!
