There is plenty to do for you gardeners during  the winter season.

There is very little , if any,  plant growth  during the cold months of winter. We need to look at the chores needed to keep our gardens attractive . There are many things you can do to  make sure your winter garden turns into a beautiful spring garden.

 You can   build arbors, seating, edging and paths. You can see where it needs some hardscaping. Redirect your paths or build a new trellis.

Draw a diagram of your garden. You can make changes as you see how your layout works the previous year.

Go through the catalogs and order your new bulbs and seeds.

Till or spade under your  vegetable plot, add organic matter and fertilizer and till in. 

Start some seeds indoors. Grow plants from seed you can't find at the nursery. Some easy plants to grow indoors from seed include most sun loving annuals. 

Repair or replace any tools or supplies now.

You can make a very beautiful flower or vegetable garden with some of the vintge or antique yard decorative items such as, benches or bird baths, etc.
