The Windsor Versamatic models that you will find on Ebay are the VSM, VSE, VS, and VSP. The Versamatic vacuums are made for Windsor by one of the most prestigious vacuum cleaner companies in the world.

The VSM is the older model. It has a single swivel neck connecting the upper unit to the base unit. They don't have the extra support arm that the newer models possess. They come in 14" and 18" sizes. They also don't have the electronic card and have a manual reset clutch for when the roller gets caught clogged and can't turn. I have known of hospitals that have had the 14" model in service for close to 20 years. The main drawback is the single connection point. Over time the upper unit will start to lean and you will have electrical connection problems. But if it has been used and maintained properly this is not a major problem. This uses the 2003 bag.

The VSE has an additional support arm that helps stabilize the vacuum. The electronic control system maintains consistent motor speed and torque to eliminate premature brush, bearing and belt replacement. This uses the 2003 bag. Comes in 14" and 18" sizes.

The VS is the newest addition of the standard Versamatic. It has some changes in the vacuum housing area. It takes a slightly different vacuum motor. It has several other small changes that allowed Windsor to incorporate some of the same parts used in the Versamatic Plus. Virtually the same as the VSE. This uses the 2003 bag. The electronic control system maintains consistent motor speed and torque to eliminate premature brush, bearing and belt replacement. Comes in 14" and 18" sizes.

On the VSP the lower unit is virtually the same as the VSE and VS. The upper unit is much different with a much preferred wand and hose set-up. The pull-out wand with handle and on-board accessory tools increase efficiency of detail cleaning. It also has wheels that roll much smoother than the standard Versamatic. It is like a combination Sensor/Versamatic, incorporating the best features of both machines. It uses the 5300 bag, same as the Sensor. The electronic control system maintains consistent motor speed and torque to eliminate premature brush, bearing and belt replacement. Comes in 14" and 18" sizes.

The Sensor is a single motor vacuum with about half the life of a Versamatic. They come in 12", 15", and 18 inch sizes.

The new Flexamatic is lighter than a Versamatic, has dual motors, and comes in 12" and 15" sizes.

Parts for any model Windsor vacuum are available from okie-armadillo1956.
