Please if you find this guide useful, let me know by casting a VOTE at the bottom of the page:)
This way I will work on more of these, and keep helping our awesome eBay members!

Often times, when you get a virus, trojan or malware on your computer it will infect and/or destroy some of the Windows files that are necessary for the computer to start properly.  Here you are working on your laptop or desktop one day, and once you turn it on the next morning you see a blue screen of death! Windows does not start and you need to get the term paper or business documents you saved on your hard disk!  This process will work on any brand of PC: DELL, SONY, HP, Compaq, IBM, Acer and more...

Here is a quick and easy way of accessing all of your files, creating a quick backup before you decide to fix your computer, or give it away to a repair shop.

* power your computer ON

* 3 sec after you push the power button press the F8 key on your keyboard

* choose SAFE MODE from the on-screen menu you will see

* long list of services will show up loading on the black screen

* wait patiently until you will see the Windows screen

* choose from 2 options

a) continue into the SAFE MODE by pressing YES (this way you will be able to access all of your documents and create a quick back on USB stick, CD, or DVD)

b) run the PC RESTORE by pressing NO (this option will execute the Windows Restore Mode, which will allow you to restore your PC to a previous state, before it was infected with a virus or a trojan).  This will NOT DELETE any of your documents, pictures or music - it will only restore the programs, and Windows settings back to the working state.

After you are done (step A and B) reboot your computer.  In most of the cases this will get your PC to start normally.

At this point it is recommended to install an antivirus program, and scan your PC for infections.

You can find more tutorials and products related to PC repair in my eBay store.

Please, if you find these guides useful press YES at the bottom of the screen.

Thank you
