OK. The address that I sent the file to is a hotmail account. I am going to assume that you are fairly familiar with the Windows Live console.
1. Log in to your account
2. Click the link to the left that says inbox
3. Look for a message from "The Little Family" with the subject "The Pattern You Requested" and click on any part of that line to open the email.
4. At the top of that email you might see a line with a orange shield that says " Attachments, pictures, and links in this message have been blocked for your safety.". Below that you will see "From", "Sent", and "to". Directly below that information will be the name of two files beside a paper clip icon. it will look something like this: pad-ern34...pdf (945.9 KB),34113-Ins...pdf (343.9 KB)" Click on the first one.
5. You will get a warning asking you if you want to unblock the attachments. Click OK (Do not unblock or accept attachments from people you do not know)
6. Click on the first file name after unblocking them and you will get a box prompting you to select what you want to do with the file. In Internet explorer it will ask you if you want to open or save the file.
7. Choose the option to save it to your hard disk. If you are using Internet Explorer it will give you a choice as to where to save it. If you are not familiar with how to access directories on your system, look for a folder at the top of that box with a green arrow and click that button until it won't let you click it anymore and you when you hit save it will be on your desktop.
8. Once it downloads to your desktop you should be able to double click it and open it in Adobe Reader.
Adobe reader is wide spread and installs alongside a lot of other programs. Most people don't even know they have it and it is very rare for a computer not to already have it. On the off chance that you successfully download and it won't open, Let me know and I will walk you through getting a free copy of Adobe Reader. There is a wealth of information on the internet only available through PDF so it is a very handy program to have.
