I have been selling Medical Oximeters for a while and I am very Confident in the Oximeter that I sale. I decided that I would also like to sell a Sports Oximeter, so I started researching Sports Oximeters. What I found is that for Mountain Climbing & Pilots YOU MUST have a Very Rugged Oximeter, & many oximeters are not up to the stress that these people will put on them. I decided that I do not want to sell Sports Oximeters because anyone that uses them for Mountain Climbing or Pilot use is putting thier life on the line & needs a oximeter that can take a lot of stress & can perform ACCURATELY in extreme conditions and a very high altitudes(up to 30,000 feet). If you purchase an Oximeter for sports please go to the web site American Alpine Institute and look at thier research for oximeters. These people have tested oximeters in extreme conditions and know how to use oximeters. To sum it up I do not know if there is a oximeter that I would be comfortable with using for my self in these conditions. If you need a Oximeter for Medical reasons you must get a RX from your Doctor to Purchase all FDA approved Oximeters. Many people sell FDA approved Medical Oximeters ( including myself ) that have been used in the Medical field a lot and are very good.
