Whether we want to admit it or not, we all like to
save money on what we buy. When buying a new car or a new guitar,
driving it off the lot or taking it out the door you just lost money.
Buy used new guitars or used guitars. The market is flooded with these
at some great prices. Buy acoustic electric instead of acoustic,
just a few dollars more but more versitile in use. Buy guitar seconds,
these when bought from a reputable seller are just like buying a new
guitar with a minor flaw or ding without a warranty, the same as buying
a new guitar. As many of you alread know, within 6 months of
buying a new guitar it will have dings on it reguardless how much care
is taken. Most guitars that need repair are minor repairs
that do not cost very much to be fixed. If the repair is costly, then
more than likely the guitar is not worth the repair, put it on Ebay and
sell for parts and buy you another.
For beginners, buy a nice cheaper guitar and please buy a tuner. So many beginners are making chords as they should and don't know it because the guitar is out of tune, so discouragement sets in and the guitar ends up under the bed. Also make the instrument comfortable to play by taking the guitar to a repair shop to have the action set up. Not many all will need this, but if it does this could small investment for a long term return
Thanks for your time and I hope this will help.
