Why buy Auburn Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags?

Auburn Leather Company out of Auburn, Kentucky arguable makes the best motorcycle saddlebags on the market. Just ask Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha as they each have contracted with Auburn to make their factory motorcycle saddlebags.

Why buy Auburn Leather?  Sure, you can buy much less expensive leather bags but what are you getting? Usually, too cheap to believe saddlebags are split leather.  This is where they take a piece of the cheapest cut of leather from the cow and then stretch it to death and then split it inot two pieces.  They treat the leather with animal products to cure it (usually urine) and then basically they spray paint it to add color.  These bags tend to smell terrible when they get wet, dteriorate after long exposure to the sun and water and the color fades very quickly since the leather was sprayed instead of drum dyed.

Auburn Leather is made in the USA right there in Auburn, Kentucky.  They use only the best cuts of the leather from the cow which is why it's called premium leather.  Their bags are made of full grain (one piece) leather and not split into pieces (split grain).  Further, their bags are drum dyed.  Instead of spray painting only the outer layer of the leather to add color, they soak them in giant vats so all the leather takes on the color of the bags.  That is why Auburn saddlebags and leather products will not fade crack or peel and why they look as good in three years as they do the first day you put them on your bike provided you care for them with good leather care products.  To see a wide selection of Auburn Saddlebags, go to the following link:  Auburn Saddlebags at helmets-n-more.com ebay store

Sure, you might pay more up front for your Auburn bags but it's a great investment in the look and ride of your bike and more importantly in the function of your saddlebags.  Do some research before you settle for cheaper bags.  You'll be glad you did.
