Some have said that there are over 180 Million people on ebay why do you have to be so good to the customers there will always be new customers, right?
Well, this is an interesting way to look at the market on ebay but not always the correct angle.
Many sellers do a good amound of business on ebay however they are not the best at customer service and undoubtably will be there downfall. Every customer you come in to contact with is a potential ebay goldmine in the making if dealt with in the proper maner. Each customer may come back with repeat orders, tell there friends who may order, and most important have a chance to leave you feedback; good or bad.
So with this all in mind the customer is always right. Even if it costs you a little time or money to make a customer happy, it will far outway the loss of future sales due to negitive feedback even if the customer is not right, you should make them feel like they are. Negitive feedback as you should remember is what the other 180 million ebayers are going to use to gauge you as a business person. If you have bad marks many, many, many potential customers will not buy.
Just like many businesses eBay works on a delayed gratification system which you must put a lot in up front to see the results but trust me if you run your business right from the start you will reap what you sew.
This is just a note to new ebayers and I hope this helps you grow a profitable ebay business,
Nick Simpson
