I currently design and sell Plastic Bag Holders on eBay as Marcia6253.  I also have a web site where I do the same.  My whole business is centered around sewing and fabric.

As many people are aware, Wal Mart has long be a supplier of fabric.  Slowly the Wal Mart store are shutting down their fabric departments.  They will no longer sell the items that require an employee to physically cut.  This includes ribbons and fabrics.

Although this is a wonderful oppertunity to buy at close out prices, where will we be able to purchase fabric in the future?  This will be a wonderful boost to stores such as Hancock Fabrics and Hobby Lobby.  Unfortunatly, the price will be quite a bit higher!

There are many sellers of fabrice right here on eBay who have a wonderful selection to chose from.  They give great customer service and have both new and hard to find products.  Many will mail a cutting for you to see the actual fabrics if you are buying a large quanity.  Check them out to see if they can provide what you need before looking at alternatives.

If you have the oppertunity shop at your local individually owned fabric and upholstry shops.  You won't get the good price that you did at Wal Mart, but since they are locally owned it is quite possible to strike a deal for a discount if you are purchasing a large amount for draperies or such.  The up side is they often carry patterns that are hard to find.

I also find a wonderful place for fabric is yard sales.  You will be limited on what you can find, but if there is a number listed with the yard sale announcement call and ask them if they have fabrics for sale.

And finally, look at things in a creative way.  Many items can be recycled or reinvented to make other items from.  Look at your local "dollar stores" for curtains, shower curtains, even cloths that can be revamped into something else.
