Why do  you want to consider 2.5 gain screen? It is 250% brighter than the 1.0 gain screen.  Most people get it and it is well worth it. At the very least you can run your projector in whisper mode, thus saving on the bulb life!!! Also if you have higher gain you can have lights on in the room while viewing the screen. It is very helpful. It puts less stress on the projector and the bulbs are 500 bucks to replace... You say that I have a 1200 lumen projector, I don' t need a 2.5 gain screen, my guide saids I don't need it. Well, that is true you don't need it but consider this... Your bulb is like a battery, the more you use it the dimmer or weaker it gets. Also if you have lights on in the room or sunlight coming in the screen will appear washed out, thus you either need a brighter projector or a brighter screen. Well the screen is cheaper to buy than the projector so why not upgrade your screen to 2.5 gain? Buy yours now below!
