Getting a poor trace on your EKG printout and thinking of buying a new EKG? Try this first before you spend hundreds to thousands... with your ekg in 'manual' mode (continuous print) wiggle each of the 10 leads on the patient cable one at a time while monitoring the applicable lead printout. Very large fluctuations in the printout means your patient cable is faulty and it is likely that is all you need to replace. Also be sure to flex the patient cable near the trunk where the leads fan out and near the connector to the EKG. Hope this helps. You can write me any time (through ebay i am 'docfixum') with questions about your medical equipment in the physician office. I make sure your equipment is helping you help your patients.
