When buying fuel or gas tanks there are only 2 manufacturers in the world. The first is located in Canada and the other is in China. The ironic thing about this is that they are made from the same steel. The Canadian tank when finished is coated with a light oil, so they don't rust during shipping. Unfortunately, when that oil washes off the tank is not protected. The over-seas tank on the other hand is painted black or silver and will with-stand the weather longer. Next, both manufacturers make their tanks to OEM specs,but I do favor the foreign tank myself.  We sold the Canadian tank for awhile and found it to rust and leak at the seams. We switched manufacturers to the overseas producer and there has been only 1% of 1% return rate. This means that 1 out of every 1,000 tanks sold there is 1 returned due to manufacturer defect.
